Il battesimo di Amedeo

Oggi qui splende il sole

e il cielo è blù da far male

agli occhi.

Ieri, invece, pioveva.

E quando ha smesso

il cielo è rimasto plumbeo.

Così abbiamo dovuto rinunciare

ai festeggiamenti

in giardino per il battesimo

di Amedeo e ritirarci all'interno.

Today here the sun is shining

and the sky is so blue that

can hurts your eyes.

Yesterday was raining

and, when it stopped, the sky was grey.

So we had to remain inside

for celebrating Amedeo's christening

and renouce to party in the garden.

Ma è stato bello ugualmente,

anche se non ho potuto appendere all'albero

di ciliegio le lanterne che avevo confezionato

e che ho postato sabato,

nonchè gli altri festoni che avevo cucito.

Li ho sistemati all'interno,

assieme ai pom pom di carta che avevo

realizzato.

But it was beautiful anyway,

even if I couldn't hang to the cherry tree

all the tea lights I had created

(I've posted them on Saturday)

and all the fabric buntin

I've placed all the decorations inside

with all the paper pom poms.

Anche il buffet è stato opera nostra:

Max, mio papà e la mia amica Kim hanno cucinato

deliziosi finger foods, mini quiche, nonchè pasticcini

di ogni tipo!

We also did the buffet:

Max, my dad and Kim (one of my best friend),

cooked delicius finger foods, mini quiche,

and all the pastries!

Ho mangiato talmente tanto

che ora è meglio mi metta a dieta...

I've eaten a lot

and now it's time to start a diet!
